Webinar Description

Through the Show Me Literacies Collaborative, professors at the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) are providing literacy teaching and learning to educators across the state.

To scale their efforts and reach even more teachers, UMSL is leveraging a community of practice approach to create accessible professional development opportunities, including a series of “Pop-up PD,” online courses freely available to any teachers.

This 30-minute conversation covers:

  • About The Show Me Literacies Collaborative mission to support language and literacy development
  • How UMSL is successfully scaling a grant-funded project to reach as many teachers as possible through a practical, yet innovative, approach.
  • How a communities of practice approach could support your professional development or workplace learning learning initiatives.
