A9 Leveling up their grade after a long battle. At the end of this year, a S earned their highest grade on a test after I had pushed & pushed & pushed them to study, study, study. The XP gained was enough to push them to their highest grade of the year #oklaed

Q9. Epic wins are awesome events. How can your students achieve epic wins worthy of celebration? #oklaed
  • jstew511 Jun 10 @ 9:57 PM EDT
Side quests can also be relatively unrelated to the main quest. Maybe in discussing some aspect of OK history, your students get interested in pinto horses or grasslands or earthquakes. The side quest could be a little side project following their questions. #oklaed

A9- I think an epic win depends on each individual student, but I think there should be constant celebration of growth, grit, and perseverance. Crazy thought - Maybe we even need to celebrate failure as a first step to growth. #OklaEd

A9) any time he students can bring new knowledge to the class, that deserves celebration. Understanding what the teacher says is great, but going out and bringing new stuff back, leading is awesome. #oklaed

A9: Next year I’m all about celebrating personal growth. When you get better, it’s time to celebrate! I’m hoping badges help me with this in a world of large class sizes. #oklaed

A8: There could be badges for All-State participants or Honor Choir participation. Badges for great singing or effort in class. The possibility is endless! #oklaed
