    In reply to @mbswoods, @LISDTechie
  • Ed_Tech_Specs Nov 7 @ 9:20 PM EST
A3: Right now, my favorite feature in G-Classroom is being able to differentiate by assigning to certain groups of Ss instead of whole class. Doing it tomorrow to give modified test to ESL Ss #gafechat
  • mr_middle_2 Nov 7 @ 9:20 PM EST
I know GC is not an LMS, but it's plenty useful to me! #gafechat

A3: LOVE being able to have more than one teacher! As CIT it makes it easier for me to see how Ts are using it, and get ideas #gafechat
  • LISDTechie - Moderator Nov 7 @ 9:21 PM EST
A3: I love that everything is in one place - assignments, discussion, etc #gafechat
  • LauraReinhart Nov 7 @ 9:21 PM EST
I think some Ts are hesitant bc they think other formats are better for preparing Ss for what they'll be doing in college. I disagree. Classroom is easy and efficient. For that reason alone we should use it. Things will change by the time Ss enter college anyway. #gafechat
    • LISDTechie - Moderator Nov 7 @ 9:18 PM EST

      In reply to @mrsbussell
  • mrsbussell Nov 7 @ 9:21 PM EST
Change is hard and probably the biggest reason. Not knowing how to use tech is another. Pressure from standardized testing. I am trying to get them all on board. But I understand frustrations. #gafechat

    In reply to @LISDTechie
  • LearningCoup Nov 7 @ 9:23 PM EST

  • mbswoods Nov 7 @ 9:23 PM EST

  • LauraReinhart Nov 7 @ 9:25 PM EST
I wish G Classroom had ability to "clone" a class. #gafechat
  • omerica5 Nov 7 @ 9:25 PM EST
Once they have submitted an assignment I resubmit it and add comments to each student. I also add comments on a Doc/Google Drawing, etc... Then Ss can resubmit their work. #gafechat
    In reply to @NscottNick
  • NscottNick Nov 7 @ 9:25 PM EST
@DavidENorman #gafechat I've enjoyed it tremendously, easy of use, good organization, works pretty seamlessly with iOS products. Very interested in how Google Classroom compares, Google Apps are awesome
  • MrsMoutafis Nov 7 @ 9:25 PM EST
A4: I use the "topic" feature to organize them in the feed and folders in "about" for resources constantly used #gafechat
  • LauraReinhart Nov 7 @ 9:26 PM EST
A4: Tags have been my go to but lately I think it might be better to create a course each time we start a new unit. #gafechat
  • mr_middle_2 Nov 7 @ 9:26 PM EST
A3. Can there be just one favorite? Love support and interconnectivity with all Google Apps/Tools. Ability to leave feedback in both public/private comment. Student collab. Where does it end? #gafechat
  • LISDTechie - Moderator Nov 7 @ 9:27 PM EST
A4: I recommend topics to separate assignments - something like this: starters, assessments, projects, daily work, exit tickets #gafechat
  • mbswoods Nov 7 @ 9:27 PM EST
A4: just with topics right now...the organization is the big 👎 from most of my Ts #gafechat
  • mr_middle_2 Nov 7 @ 9:27 PM EST
There was nothing resembling an LMS before I got the staff on board with Google Classroom. Was not a hard sell once I got admin on board! #gafechat
    In reply to @RUSDtech, @mbswoods, @LISDTechie
  • mrsbussell Nov 7 @ 9:27 PM EST
I took the advice of @alicekeeler and organized by numbering assignments. I have one weekly assignment that is created on Google Slides. Ss and I talk about the assignment at the beginning of the week and they work. I get to work with them 1 on 1. #gafechat
    In reply to @LISDTechie, @alicekeeler
  • RUSDtech Nov 7 @ 9:27 PM EST
A3: favorite “new” feature = the display option for the Join code! It has streamlined getting the little one signed-up. 🙃 #gafechat

#gafechat A4 I use the topics tags to organize by unit topics
  • Ed_Tech_Specs Nov 7 @ 9:28 PM EST

  • Ed_Tech_Specs Nov 7 @ 9:31 PM EST
A5: I use the "Question" feature in Google Classroom as a "Do Now" or an "exit ticket". #gafechat Ss can comment on each other's answers.

  • LISDTechie - Moderator Nov 7 @ 9:32 PM EST
A5: Use the short answer question as a exit ticket for students to share their understanding of the given concept #gafechat
  • omerica5 Nov 7 @ 9:32 PM EST
#gafechat A5: The question feature I have used as a quick poll or as a quick formative question on a topic. I love that I can make it into a multiple choice or leave it as a short answer. #GoogleClassroom
