Why we love this app
At first glance, this app seems a bit young for middle school, but if your child is struggling with critical learning skills, vocabulary or learning to categorize words, this app is perfect for them. Students need to be able to hear vocabulary words and sort them in order to make sense of more advanced language. This app is great from those struggling with speech, listening and/or learning English.
What it teaches and how it works
Choose a category of words, let students touch the picture and hear the pronunciation and then put it in the right category. At the close of each word sort, the categories split apart and students can see the words in new ways.
Why your kid won't be able to put it down
It's fun, interactive and easy. It's an enjoyable way to build listening and critical learning skills.
